Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Retail Planner/Analyst, you will sit at the center of analytics, product, and planning for the division—turning data into insights that help drive smarter decisions across sales, merchandising, demand planning, replenishment, and supply chain. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about data and product; someone who can “read the tea leaves” in POS and category data to anticipate customer needs, identify emerging opportunities, and support strategic assortment decisions. As the peer connector to Sales, Replenishment Planning, and Customer Service, this role ensures demand signals, sales forecasts, category insights, and assortment plans accurately inform replenishment strategy, inventory planning, and both commercial and wholesale supply chain planning.

The ideal candidate is curious, commercially minded, highly analytical, and energized by uncovering opportunities, influencing product decisions, and helping the business stay one step ahead of the customer.

This position is located in our Frisco office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sales Analytics and Category Management:
  • Serve as the analytics hub for sales, category, item, and channel performance across the omni-channel business.
  • Translate POS, margin, sell-through, distribution, availability, and productivity trends into clear, actionable insights that help drive business decisions.
  • Support strategic assortment decisions by identifying category shifts, whitespace opportunities, item productivity, customer demand, and channel-specific performance trends.
  • Answer the “why behind the what” in the data to anticipate customer needs, spot emerging product opportunities, and clarify what is working, what is not working, and where demand is moving next.
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and recommended actions with clarity and urgency to leadership, sales, customer service, design, and customer-facing partners.
2. Demand Planning:
  • Build and maintain sales reports, dashboards, forecasts, ladder plans, and assortment planning tools that keep the division aligned and informed.
  • Translate sales history, store selling, seasonality, customer plans, and category performance into demand forecasts that tell a clear commercial story.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Account Management, Merchant teams, and Replenishment Planning to ensure forecasts reflect business strategies, customer expectations, and emerging marketplace signals.
  • Serve as the demand-planning peer to Replenishment Planning, ensuring the demand signal accurately supports replenishment strategy, inventory planning, and supply chain decisions.
  • Connect commercial and wholesale planning by ensuring forecasts, assortment plans, and demand assumptions are communicated clearly across planning and supply chain partners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of retail, wholesale, or apparel industry experience, preferably in sales analytics, category analytics, assortment planning, demand forecasting, or retail planning.
  • Strong analytical curiosity with the ability to turn sales, category, channel, and demand data into clear insights, recommendations, and business narratives.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with reporting, ERP, retail analytics, and Microsoft Office tools; experience with project management systems is a plus.
  • Collaborative communicator who can partner effectively with Sales, Merchandising, Account Management, Replenishment Planning, and supply chain teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and energized by using data and product insights to anticipate customer needs and drive action in a fast-paced environment.
