Job description

Workplace Type: We ask all employees to work a hybrid schedule, with a minimum 2x/week in their local office. We welcome employees to utilize office space more than that where possible.

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially-driven, and highly collaborative leader to run the day-to-day operations of NEXT. NEXT is a brand within World 50 Group that is dedicated to world-class executive development. Reporting directly to the Head of NEXT, this role is a premier leadership opportunity to operationalize a high-impact growth strategy and scale a thriving platform.

If you are an operational mastermind who understands how to connect disparate business units, from enterprise sales to program delivery, into a cohesive growth engine, we encourage you to explore this role.

The Role

As the operational leader of NEXT, you will manage the day-to-day business, translating high-level strategy into seamless execution. This is a largely commercial, highly crossโ€‘functional role that requires a holistic view of executive development. You will ensure that NEXTโ€™s various offerings serve multiple levels of senior leadership seamlessly, while maintaining a relentless focus on high performance, exceptional quality, and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Holistic Portfolio Management: Oversee NEXTโ€™s diverse portfolio of offerings, ensuring they are positioned and executed as a holistic approach to development that effectively serves multiple levels of senior leadership.
  • Platform & Capacity Operations: Oversee core platform operations, including forward planning, P&L management, and internal education. Optimize resources and event capacity for premium executive events.
  • Data & Metrics Ownership: Establish and manage dashboards to track, analyze, and understand bookings and key performance metrics for NEXT as a whole, providing regular business leadership updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Crossโ€‘Functional Revenue & Pipeline Alignment: Act as the ultimate crossโ€‘functional partner to build deep trust with Group Leaders and internal stakeholders.
  • Enterprise Sales: Work handโ€‘inโ€‘hand with the enterprise sales team to capture and convert business generated through deep engagement with CHROs and Chief Talent Officers. Driving weekly sales alignment and strategic campaigns to fuel growth.
  • Membership Sales: Collaborate closely with the membership development team to build a seamless pipeline that transitions program alumni into ongoing, longโ€‘term memberships.
  • Program Excellence & Scale: Partner closely with program delivery leaders to ensure the highest quality of program execution while simultaneously driving enrollment and program growth.
  • Creative Growth & Market Innovation: Bring a creative, entrepreneurial mindset to find new ways to amplify brand awareness and drive commercial growth. Stay ahead of macro trends to deeply understand the shifting needs of organizations in developing senior talent.
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Take on, manage, and serve as a dedicated coach to a team of direct reports. Drive inside sales campaigns, foster professional development, and cultivate an environment of operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate

You are a businessโ€‘minded operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationshipโ€‘building. You know how to manage up to the Head of NEXT, out to key enterprise stakeholders, and down to an execution team.

What You Bring:
  • Operational & Matrix Leadership: Proven experience running dayโ€‘toโ€‘day operations of a business unit, with a knack for working across matrixed sales and delivery teams.
  • Financial & Analytical Acumen: Direct P&L experience with a strong understanding of managing budgets, forward planning, and using data dashboards to track bookings.
  • Commercial & Creative Mindset: A strong commercial track record, paired with the creativity needed to market development programs and articulate value to modern HR and Talent leaders.
  • Events & Capacity Expertise: Deep familiarity with the logistics, scaling, and capacity planning inherent to premium executive events and cohorts.
  • Peopleโ€‘First Leader: Experience managing direct reports with a passion for team development, keeping internal staff aligned, motivated, and executionโ€‘focused.
  • Executive Presence: The ability to seamlessly interface with internal leadership, corporate stakeholders, and senior executive clients.
