About Macho Marketing
Macho Marketing is a dynamic, full-service marketing agency dedicated to serving our primary client, The Continental Automotive Group (representing 8 premier dealerships in the Austin area). We handle a high-volume, diverse range of marketing channels, including print, web, radio, billboards, TV, social media, and live events. We are looking for a talented and adaptable Graphic Designer to join our creative team and drive the visual success of our automotive campaigns.
The Role
As a Graphic Designer at Macho Marketing, you will be the visual voice of our dealerships. You will take concepts from brainstorming to execution, producing high-quality deliverables across digital and traditional mediums. You will also have the unique opportunity to pitch your ideas directly to dealership clients, making strong communication skills just as vital as your design eye.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Conceptualize & Design: Generate creative concepts and design engaging assets for various marketing campaigns, including social media graphics, digital ads, billboards, POP displays, and email templates.
  • Client Collaboration: Present design concepts directly to dealership stakeholders, effectively communicating your visual strategy while ensuring alignment with their specific brand guidelines and sales goals.
  • Feedback Integration: Confidently field feedback from clients and internal teams, turning critiques into prompt, effective design adjustments.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with external partners-including commercial printers, radio stations, and corporate brand representatives-to ensure precise execution and delivery of all final assets.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Assist the wider marketing team with events and dynamic tasks as needed to support agency objectives.
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
  • Experience: 2-4 years of professional graphic design experience (Agency or automotive industry experience is a major plus!).
  • Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Design Mastery: Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Print Production: Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and preparing files for commercial print.
  • Digital/Web Skills: Knowledge of HTML and web-based design principles is highly preferred.
Key Competencies & Requirements:
  • Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing your layout, typography, and conceptual skills is required.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and visual presentation skills; comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization and dealership leadership.
  • Project Management: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Attitude: Possesses a growth mindset, a strong work ethic, and a constant desire to learn new trends and software.
  • Professionalism: Maintains high professional standards both inside and outside the office while conducting agency business.
  • Logistics: Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver's license for at least 1 year (travel to local dealerships will be required).
