ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Machinist will be involved in the selection of the best possible way to fabricate standard and customer specific plates and machined parts required, using their skills and experience to best accommodate different jobs configurations.

Experience, Education & Training:

  • Experienced in steel fabrication and machining of detailed parts and strainers components.
  • Experienced on different manual machining lathes and fabrication tolerances (CNC) PLUS
  • Familiar with pipefitting, team oriented, and safety standards,
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the steel machining fabrication environment.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Able to read blueprints and have a working knowledge of Engine lathes, Vertical lathes, radial arm drills  

Type Equipment Used:

Includes, but not limited to: machining tools, calipers, measuring devices, overhead cranes, forklift, sheer, and plasma-cutting machine.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in a sheltered warehouse (shop).  The warehouse is not climate-controlled; therefore, one will be exposed to typical seasonal temperatures and humidity. 

Able to lift 50 lbs.
