Job description

Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist, where your expertise will drive precision and efficiency in producing high-quality components. In this energetic role, you will operate and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to transform raw materials into meticulously crafted parts. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with advanced tooling and measurement instruments will be vital in maintaining our commitment to excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, contribute to innovative projects, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce precise parts.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents accurately; apply mechanical knowledge to adjust tooling and machining parameters accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace by properly handling hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling; adhere to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly processes involving plastics injection molding or other manufacturing techniques when necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines or CNC lathes; familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.
  • Strong background in CNC programming using CAM software; ability to modify programs based on project requirements.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T principles for precise measurement and quality control.
  • Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), welding, and tooling setup.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics; basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), and other manufacturing equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment. Join us as a CNC Machinist if you’re passionate about precision manufacturing! Bring your mechanical expertise, technical skills, and enthusiasm for innovation to help us produce top-tier components that meet the highest standards of quality. We’re committed to supporting your growth through ongoing training opportunities in lean manufacturing techniques and advanced machining technologies—empowering you every step of the way!
