Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with aerospace manufacturing experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision aerospace components that meet strict quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machining centers (mills, lathes, or multi-axis equipment).

  • Read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions.

  • Utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM interfaces).

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy.

  • Edit CNC programs at the machine when necessary (Fanuc, Mazak Matrix, Mazak Mazatrol.).

  • Select proper tooling, fixtures, speeds/feeds to optimize machining performance.

  • Maintain tight tolerances typically within ±.0005" or better.

  • Complete required documentation, including job travelers and quality records.

  • Follow AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing standards.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace preferred).

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.

  • Experience with CNC program editing (G-code).

  • Familiarity with aerospace materials (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steels).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with 5-axis machining and/or lathes, VTLs.

  • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements.

  • CAM software exposure (Mastercam, Autodesk, etc.).

  • CMM inspection experience (PC-DMIS).
