Precision Bearing Machine Tool Spindle Repair Technician

Are you an experienced Machine Tool Spindle Repair Technician with expertise in precision bearings, rotating equipment, machining, or grinding? We are seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair, rebuild, and test high-speed machine tool spindles used in precision manufacturing.

This position reports directly to the General Facility Manager and offers long-term career growth with an established and expanding spindle repair company.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, and rebuild machine tool spindles.
  • Install and set up super precision rolling element bearings.
  • Perform spindle tear-downs, inspections, and failure analysis.
  • Measure bearing fits, shaft tolerances, preload, and critical dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
  • Repair or replace mechanical components including shafts, housings, bearing journals, and related spindle assemblies.
  • Perform spindle balancing, runout checks, and performance testing.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, repair procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Document repair findings and complete service reports.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment.
  • Work closely with engineering and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Experience using micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
