Job description

A “CNC machinist level 5” is generally considered a senior or expert CNC operator/machinist who can independently program, set up, and run complex CNC jobs, and often supervises or mentors others.


Golden Machining Solutions is a precision manufacturing company serving aerospace, medical, and Mining industries. We are expanding and seeking a senior CNC Machinist (Level 5) to lead complex setups and high-tolerance work.

Key responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate multi‐axis CNC mills/lathes for complex, tight‐tolerance parts.
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
  • Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters, and optimize cycle times and tool life.
  • Perform first‐article and in‐process inspections; adjust offsets to maintain quality.
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program issues with minimal supervision.
  • Train and mentor junior machinists and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Required qualifications

  • 8+ years of CNC machining experience, including complex setups and program edits.
  • Strong G‐code knowledge and experience with [control/machine brands, e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak].
  • Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and use precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, CMM exposure is a plus).
  • Solid understanding of tooling, materials, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies.
  • Strong safety mindset, communication skills, and ability to work independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with 4/5‐axis equipment and/or CAD/CAM (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
  • Relevant certifications or technical diploma in machining or manufacturing technology.
