Job description

Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking Machine Operators to hire at a food manufacturing, packing, and distribution facility located in Villa Rica! The ideal candidate should have previous Machine Operating experience, be dependable, have reliable transportation, and available to work full time.
Requirements for Machine Operators:
After meeting all of PPS' standard qualifications, candidate must meet below qualifications:
  • Must have at least 2 years of Machine Operating experience.
  • Ability to work on machines, gears, belts, etc.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently.
  • Previous Food Grade experience is a plus.
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities of Machine Operators:
  • Prepare machines, lines, and teammates.
  • Meet with the Operator from the previous shift to learn about any problems, challenges, or concerns they may have encountered to ensure a smooth hand-off and start-up.
  • Review daily schedule and properly prepare for the requirements of that day’s shift.
  • Check that all safety mechanisms are working properly and that all team members understand and adhere to safety rules.
  • Observe Machine Operators run and lead their lines safely and effectively.
  • Inspect machine and line to ensure readiness for safe start-up.
  • Check settings and match to product run using graphical interface.
  • Ensure machines run at expected standards.
  • Troubleshoot machine operations and determine when to take the machine off-line in the event of a safety and/or quality problem.
  • Work with maintenance team on any mechanical problems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and lines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Shift Details: 1st and 2nd Shifts Available! **Call for more information.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour.
