Job description

Available Schedules:
  • Friday - Sunday 5:00am - 5:00pm
  • Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm
  • Monday - Thursday 3:30 - 2:00am

Job Summary:
Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures while ensuring smooth operations and production of parts that meet efficiency and customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload castings onto fixtures in machines
  • Perform quality inspection checks to ensure parts are in conformance with customer specifications
  • Perform tooling changes as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of records
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow detailed work instructions
  • Deburr machined parts with the use of power hand tools
  • Basic reading and interpreting of blue prints
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations, report safety issues and use proper PPE
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, production control, engineers, and Operations Manager
  • Work independently within timed deadlines
  • Additional duties as required

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years' experience in an industrial CNC machining environment operating vertical and horizontal milling machines
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • Basic math skills specifically with fractions and decimals
  • Mechanical aptitude with good physical dexterity
  • Ability to use various holders such as cutters on shell mill and shrink fit.
  • Ability to decipher various tooling such as cutter and engraver
  • Previous experience using inspection equipment to confirm part quality
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures. The employee must comply with PPE requirements including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and steel toed safety shoes.
