Job description

Paper Machine Team Lead

We are seeking a skilled Paper Machine Team Lead to support machine operation, team management, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with machine managers, process specialists, and process engineer to strengthen operational efficiency, support team staff, and ensure effective operation across the tissue machine department.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure employees have resources and tools required for daily performance
Direct operators in daily operations of the Paper Machine, ensuring they have the necessary skills to be effective.
Identify and implement training standards and processes to support Overall Equipment Effectiveness delivery.
Assist with developing and modifying standard operating procedures (SOPs), detailing specific tasks
Review all centerline tours and verify/maintain efficiency of machine.
Review PI Vision and Centerlines, understand shift run ability and downtime
Communicate and track key performance indicators, sign off on qualification card levels, verify and approve time records in APD
Recognize and correct equipment problems to minimize downtime and maximize production
Assist with down day requirements
Assist Quality and Engineering departments with product trials, improvements, and quality testing.
Maintain housekeeping on paper machine.
Manage CILs performed by team ensuring they get done properly.
Requirements:
· Minimum of five years of experience in tissue manufacturing or a related industrial production environment.
Experience as a Control Room Operator, Machine Operators or similar production leadership role required.
· Strong knowledge of tissue machine operations and manufacturing processes.
· Experience as a Control Room Operator, Machine Operators or similar production leadership role preferred.
· Strong analytical and decision making skills.
· Ability to effectively communicate with both hourly and salaried personnel across departments.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and support team members in a manufacturing environment.
