What You'll Do
As a Substitute Machining Technology Instructor, you'll provide instructional support and help maintain a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment for students pursuing careers in manufacturing and machining.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting students with curriculum questions, coursework, and hands-on learning activities.
  • Presenting organized learning opportunities aligned with approved course outlines and instructional objectives.
  • Supporting classroom and laboratory instruction as directed by faculty.
  • Maintaining accountability and supervision of students in classrooms, labs, and shop environments.
  • Adapting instructional materials, equipment, and demonstrations to support specific learning objectives.
  • Promoting professionalism, safety, and industry best practices.
  • Ensuring the safe use of instructional facilities, machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintaining an organized, productive, and disciplined learning environment.
  • Communicating effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
