Job Overview
Bruderer Machinery, Inc. is a global leader in high-speed stamping technology, known for precision, performance, quality, and service. 
The Huntsville team rebuilds, repairs, and services Bruderer presses for a wide variety of manufacturing customers. We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our small team in restoring our high-speed precision metal stamping presses to like-new condition.

Key Responsibilities
•    Disassemble used machinery and thoroughly clean parts in preparation for reassembly
•    Use sound judgment to decide if parts should be reworked, replaced, or substituted 
•    Thoroughly document tests performed on malfunctioning parts
•    Assemble parts precisely using metric measurements and test for proper fit
•    Rebuild machines according to applicable schematics, assembly drawings, or standard procedures
•    Diagnose and solve failures in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
•    Guide customers by phone call or email to remedy routine technical problems
•    Report to the Operations and Plant Managers and follow specific instructions as given
•    Keep your workstation and all shared spaced organized, clean, and safe
•    Represent Bruderer professionally to visiting customers and students

Required Experience & Qualifications
•    5+ years as an automotive, aerospace, or heavy machinery mechanic or similar role
•    Diagnosing root causes of mechanical failures
•    Working from blueprints using metric measurements
•    Handling and rigging parts with hoists, cranes, and lifts
•    Adept at using power tools, test equipment, and precision measuring tools such as micrometer calipers, gauges, and dial indicators
•    High level of mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
•    Servicing or repairing complex heavy machinery
o    Experience with stamping presses is a plus
•    Metalworking (filing, drilling, sawing, polishing, etc.) and welding
o    Skilled use of lathes and mills is a plus
•    Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Work Environment & Physical Activity
Candidates must be able to:
•    Perform physically demanding tasks such as grinding and fastening parts by hand
•    Lift up to 80 lbs with or without accommodation
•    Work in an industrial environment with hazardous chemicals and heavy machinery 
•    Safely use ladders, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and heavy or sharp hand tools
•    Consistently used required PPE and adhere to OSHA standards

Schedule, Compensation, & Benefits
•    $26–$32/hour, based on relevant experience
•    Full-time position on-site in Huntsville, AL
o    Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
•    Opportunity to travel out-of-state for field service assignments for additional pay
