Area Sales Manager – Industrial Inspection & Med Device Solutions

Minnesota | Direct Hire | Base $85,000 - $100,000 | $120,000 - $140,000+ OTE

Konik is partnering with a growing international technology company that develops advanced digital inspection, measurement, and AI-assisted vision systems used within medical device manufacturing, precision engineering, automation, and advanced manufacturing environments. This organization is expanding its U.S. commercial presence and is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across key manufacturing markets.

This is a highly field-focused technical sales role centered around relationship development, consultative selling, product demonstrations, and strategic account growth. The ideal candidate is energetic, technically capable, and motivated to build long-term partnerships within manufacturing and engineering-driven environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow business across manufacturing, medical device, automation, precision engineering, aerospace, electronics, and industrial markets
  • Build relationships with manufacturing engineers, quality teams, process engineers, operations leaders, and technical decision-makers
  • Conduct onsite customer visits, product demonstrations, evaluations, and technical presentations
  • Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and strategic relationship development
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts while continuously developing new pipeline opportunities
  • Identify customer applications and align technical inspection and measurement solutions to operational needs
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and applications teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Attend industry tradeshows, conferences, and customer events throughout the territory
  • Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, forecasting, and customer reporting
  • Provide customer and market feedback to support future product development and innovation initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3–6+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, automation, metrology, machine vision, inspection systems, or related manufacturing technologies
  • Experience selling into manufacturing or advanced manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Strong relationship-building and business development skills
  • Comfortable conducting technical product demonstrations and customer-facing presentations
  • Self-starter mentality with strong field activity and customer engagement skills
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation abilities
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to understand manufacturing processes and customer challenges
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned regions
