We are seeking an individual to fill a full-time Accounts Receivable position at our fast-paced office south of the river in Savage, MN. Candidates must be a quick learner, self-motivated, organized, and able to multitask and have an eye for detail. As member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts and resolving discrepancies. This position will report directly to the Financial Controller.


Key Responsibilities 

Accounts Receivable & Payment Processing
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Verify and enter revenue transactions accurately.
  • Update receivable accounts by tracking and totaling unpaid invoices.
  • Prepare and distribute customer statements.
  • Coordinate monthly transfers to accounts receivable accounts and verify account balances.
Collections & Account Resolution
  • Contact customers by phone and email to obtain expected payment dates.
  • Investigate account discrepancies by working with Sales, Customer Service, trade promotions, and customers.
  • Resolve valid deductions through account adjustments.
  • Address invalid or unauthorized deductions following established procedures.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate invoice and receivable records.
  • Prepare reports related to receivables and account status.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Protect confidential financial and customer information.

What We’re Looking For – Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of college or technical education
  • 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or related field
  • Prior experience with D365 or related accounting system
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly with Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong data entry, math, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both on the phone and in writing
  • Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills and will follow tasks through to completion

Work Location

This position follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be on-site at our Headquarters in Savage, MN office.


Travel 

This position requires varying travel ranging from 0-5% which may include day trips, overnight stays, and occasional extended travel depending on business needs. Travel may be local, regional, or national. All travel-related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
