  • Produce moderately complex to highly complex conventional machine components/tooling to precision tolerances.  
  • Inspect work of other machinists as directed by supervisor.  
  • Train and assist lower classification machinists as directed by supervisor.  
  • Comply with all plant work rules, regulations and specific instructions, maintain required records, logs and documentation.  
  • Identify and escalate operations problems to the area foreman with objective options for resolution. 
  • Properly handles hazardous materials.

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.  
  • Two-year machining technology certificate, completion of four-year apprenticeship and a journeyman's card is preferred.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude.  
  • Advanced knowledge of commonly use concepts, practices and procedures.  
  • Excellent communication skills to comprehend, follow written and verbal direction.  
  • Ability to properly plan, perform calculations, layout and select efficient cutting parameters for conventional machining of components/tooling.  
  • Ability to use and interpret basis shop inspection tools and manually record data.  
  • Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of conventional and CNC machine tool operations including application and programming.

  • Salary: $33.80 - $44.30, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
