Job description

We're looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a precision manufacturing operation in Solon. This is a hands-on role focused primarily on keeping CNC machine tools running, reliable, and production-ready.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and machining centers
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, motor, electronic, and control issues
  • Troubleshoot CNC controls, PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, servo motors, and spindle motors
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleanings, and scheduled machine service
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime
  • Assist with machine installations, relocations, and OEM service work
  • Support general facility maintenance as needed
  • Occasionally operate production equipment when maintenance work is caught up

What We're Looking For

  • Industrial maintenance experience in a CNC machine shop, tool & die, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience maintaining or repairing CNC machine tools
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, CNC controls, motors, VFDs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, machine manuals, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated technician who can diagnose problems and work independently
