Job description

We are seeking a skilled inspector with proficiency in CMM, ROMER ARM and VERISURF. Experience with Mastercam is a plus.


The right CMM Programmer / Inspector - Machine Shop, will perform first article inspections, in process inspections, and final inspections. The quality inspector will also visually check for damaged parts and assure all requirements and documentation is in order and prepare non-conformance reports as needed. The inspector will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the quality standards through precision measuring, collection of data, and premier inspections. Your expertise and ability to analyze and interpret data is a crucial part in helping us maintain our commitment to excellence.
CMM Programmer / Inspector - Machine Shop Duties
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to inform programming decisions.
• Inspect parts with thorough knowledge of dimension and tolerance as required by in-house and or customer drawings
• First Article, In-process and Final inspection
• Proficient in the use of micrometers, digital height gages, comparators, pin gage, bore gages and other metrology instruments
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including AS9100 and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Conduct thorough testing of programs to identify bugs or areas for improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to programming practices.
CMM Programmer / Inspector - Machine Shop Qualifications
• MUST HAVE 2-5 YEARS OF AEROSPACE, MACHINE-SHOP EXPERIENCE
• Experience with CMM & Portable CMM/arm while using Verisurf is highly desirable
• Mastercam experience, CMM programming and machining background
• Must have experience with inspecting aerospace parts and strong shop math background
• Intermediate level computer proficiency including e-mail, Word, Excel and Adobe PDF
• Familiarity with codes standards applicable in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection techniques is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Dependable with good attitude.
