Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Working experience of manufacturing environment.

A minimum of 0-3 years related industrial machine shop experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Operates tapping machine equipment to produce parts according to specifications and/or special instructions.

Understands and uses drawings, manuals, and work instructions to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Starts and observes on-going machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications.

Inspects parts for quality and appropriate tolerance using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.

Understand tapping sequence

Keep tooling clean and in working order

Compensation:

$20/hr.-$25/hr.
