Responsibilities
Hamilton Company is looking for a CNC Maintenance Repair Technician who will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager. The CNC Systems Repair Technician must be familiar with CNC repairs, and Fanuc controls as the technician will have duties and obligations of supporting the CNC equipment. The CNC Systems Repair Technician will support with facility maintenance, upgrade, and expansion as required for all departments and functions.
Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates outside of Reno, Nevada.
Other responsibilities may include:
  • Identify potential machine geometry issues causing bad parts.
  • Troubleshoot, repair & calibrate machine control systems.
  • Train others in troubleshooting machine control systems.
  • Read and follow ladder and wiring diagrams. Train others in their use.
  • Assist Maintenance Manager with preventative & predictive maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with Maintenance Process content creation.
  • Develop an improved repair reporting system that will increase the ability to track machine related issues.
  • Improve the current communication system between the Maintenance Department and our customers.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring spare parts inventory.
  • Complete repairs to maintain the proper operating condition of production and CNC machines and facility equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production and facility equipment as defined by the preventive maintenance program
  • Apply and enforce all safety procedures and precautions necessary to prevent equipment and facility dangers to company personnel
  • Assist in the complicated production and facility equipment repairs, functions, and support all facility modifications
  • Support all repairs and maintenance through procurement of all necessary repair parts and services
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Must have knowledge and experience to complete repairs on machine shop equipment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience repairing and using CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Must have a working knowledge of safety procedures and precautions to prevent equipment and facility dangers to personnel and self
  • Must have working knowledge and experience to support facility repair and modifications
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate an aptitude and desire to develop maintenance skills and repair techniques
  • Position includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places or exposure to chemicals
  • Must be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach
  • Knowledgeable of MSDS sheets as they pertain to daily activities

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in CNC repair & maintenance
  • Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion Preferred
