Job description

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-focused Project Manager to join our team in Laurel, MD.

You will play a critical role in supporting the successful coordination and management of complex projects and tasks.  Serve as the point of contact for the Government manager and team members on various projects and/or tasks.  The candidate will utilize excellent organizational, communication, and technical tools to keep track of and report on progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as maintain detailed documentation to keep track of enterprise resources.

This position supports the high-visibility Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, responsible for the delivery and security of MPO’s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), the foundation for enterprise-wide services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Coordination: serve as the direct liaison between Government managers and technical team members, facilitating daily project communication, status reporting, and risk escalation in support of ongoing operations and various actions to include break-fix efforts.
  • Asset Lifecycle Tracking: Track and document critical hardware metrics, including age [EOL (end of life)/EOS (end of service)] dates, and maintenance contracts to optimize enterprise resource allocation.
  • Outage Management: Utilize the Outage Management Ecosystem (OME) to plan, document, and communicate both scheduled and unscheduled system outages to stakeholders.
  • Incident Response: Organize and manage off-hours support and emergency call-ins to ensure rapid resolution of critical system failures.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of enterprise resources, project progress, and problem resolution metrics using tracking tools such as: Jira and Confluence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant Project Management experience OR 13 years of relevant Project Management experience with no degree.
  • PMP Certification
  • Extensive experience with Confluence and Jira
  • Reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, and various schedule efforts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
