Small Engine Technician Part-Time
$750 Signing Bonus

E amp;H Ace Hardware is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Small Engine Technician to join our service team. This role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and servicing of small engine equipment—including mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, generators, and more. If you have strong problem-solving skills, a mechanical mindset, and a desire to help customers keep their equipment running smoothly, we want to hear from you.

We’re open to training candidates with the right mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic. Whether you're experienced or just getting started, you'll have access to training and certification, including Stihl Silver Certification within your first year.

Signing Bonus

We’re now offering a $750 signing bonus for new part-time Small Engine Technicians!
The bonus is paid in three installments:

  • $250 after 90 days of employment

  • $250 after 180 days of employment

  • $250 after 270 days of employment


What You’ll Do:

Repair amp; Maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair a variety of small engine equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep tools and machinery in top condition

  • Test repaired equipment to ensure full functionality and safety

  • Maintain service records and equipment documentation

  • Order and install parts as needed

Customer Interaction

  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand issues and explain repair needs

  • Provide guidance on equipment care and recommend appropriate maintenance

  • Assist with selection of replacement parts and accessories

Shop Maintenance amp; Safety

  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of safety hazards

  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition

  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a secure work environment

Training amp; Technical Growth

  • Stay current on small engine technologies and new repair methods

  • Attend required manufacturer trainings and pursue relevant certifications


What You’ll Bring:
