Machine Shop Helper

Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Specialized Staffing Solutions is seeking a dependable and motivated Machine Shop Helper to support daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with room for growth and advancement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist machine operators and shop personnel with daily production tasks.
  • Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products throughout the shop.
  • Deburr, grind, clean, and prepare parts for machining or shipment.
  • Operate basic shop equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with material handling, inventory organization, and stocking supplies.
  • Perform basic quality checks using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
  • Follow production schedules and complete tasks as assigned by supervisors.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or machine shop experience is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
