$18–$19 per hour, based on experience and shift
Available Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and dependable Machine Shop Operators to support production at a growing manufacturing facility in Highland, NY. This role involves operating saws and other shop equipment, working with metal components, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent full-time hours and long-term potential.
Machine Shop Operator Responsibilities:
  • Operate saws, drill presses, tapping tools, and other machine shop equipment
  • Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and job specifications
  • Measure materials using precision tools to ensure accuracy
  • Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production
  • Complete inventory transactions using ERP systems or scanners
  • Maintain accurate labeling and organization of materials
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing setting preferred
  • Experience with metal fabrication and use of power tools
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or RF scanners is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production goals
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift

  • Comfortable using step stools or ladders as needed
