As a Body Shop Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing:

  • Work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnosis of cause of malfunctions and performing repair(s).
  • Communicating with parts department to obtain needed part(s).
  • Following protocols to ensure parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Examining assigned vehicle(s) to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communication with service advisor/dispatcher immediately on repair, updates, and/or delays.
  • Documentation of all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
  • Supervisory work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Reporting machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Ensuring that vehicle is kept clean. Notifying service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Maintenance and accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
  • Keeping abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Keeping abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
  • Operates all tools/equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Candidates have the following:

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE Certification a plus
  • Cummins Engine Repair Certification a plus
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma- College or Technical training preferred, but not required
  • Valid CDL License a plus
