Job Description

The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the chemical and mechanical data meet specifications, helping maintain our ISO and calibration systems. This will require maintaining the standards and integrity of products by conducting precise testing and ensuring compliance with requirements. This role offers the opportunity to develop high-quality, industry-relevant skills through hands-on experience and mentorship.

Preferred work hours will be 11am-7pm Monday – Friday.

Essential Functions:

    • Perform testing as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.
    • Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before releasing to production.
    • Operate shop machinery such as plasma torch, vertical machining center, and tensile tester.
    • Maintain the company’s calibration system
    • Responsible for maintaining ISO 9001 quality management system compliance
    • Conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production process
    • Generating weekly quality reports

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices
  • Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
  • Ability to use a variety of precision measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Manufacturing or machine shop experience preferred
