At WeldFit, the position of Helper is responsible for helping machinists, welders and other operators as per customers order by performing the duties and responsibilities below.

Other Duties / Expectations:

  • Obtains various materials for jobs from stock area.
  • Clean tools at end of each shift.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Work and think safety at all times.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends with minimum notice
  • Able to grind metals

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and climb
  • Capability of lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • High Level of manual dexterity
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to distinguish various colors / color coding
  • Ability to pass vision test
  • Willing to admit to hearing baseline test

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in similar job
