How would you contribute?

This role is a contributing member of our Airlite - Omaha team, located in Omaha, NE. As an Industrial Electrician you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite.The Industrial Electrician is responsible for performing electrical maintenance and installations on production equipment and facility systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation. This role also supports troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring and conduit.
  • Interpret and perform required work as outlined in technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Detect, diagnose, and repair electrical malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance team to diagnose problems or repair machinery.
  • Install and upgrade electrical services for equipment.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring or fixtures.
  • Install and set up electrical components for molding machines, stacker equipment, print and machine shop equipment.
  • Responsible for following national, state and local electrical and building regulations
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety problems to management.
  • Works weekends and holidays, as required by company maintenance priorities, machine installation schedules and plant emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role does not have personnel supervisory responsibilities; however, this role includes working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to operate office equipment including computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office work environment is typically quiet; when visiting the production floor the noise level may be loud.
