Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

* Complete work travelers by following operation procedure and accurately cutting parts per work instructions and drawings

* Correctly clock into the correct job while running

* Inspect parts per print.

* Accurately fill out all travelers for production quantities and material used

* Keep machine in good working condition, preventative maintenance schedule followed on cleaning lenses and mirrors.

* Machine parts with program provided and consult Machine Shop Supervisor and programmer before altering programs

* Maintain and organize staging area for future jobs

* Prepare for future jobs by setting up next sheet material to cut by staging in order of priority.

* Operate multiple machines when cycle times and machining conditions permit

* Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times

* Assist machine shop in other functions when caught up on work travelers

* Assist with machine maintenance when necessary

* Any and all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

* Proficient with tape measure and calipers

* Proficient with various gages and measuring devices

* Ability to read and interpret prints

* Strong understanding of dimensions and tolerances

* Strong understanding of material types, different thicknesses and types of stainless steel.
