Job description

Requirements and responsibilities:
- Set up, operate and maintain multi-spindle automatic screw machines (Acme Gridley) requirements include, but not limited to: setup and operation of machine; changing, setting cams & gears, grinding & setting form tools, shave tools, drills, cutoffs, maintenance, etc.
- Minimum of three (3) years setup experience on Acme Gridley automatic screw machines (REQUIRED)
- Minimum of five (5) years operator experience on Acme Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, Cone, Warner Swazey, Brown & Sharpe, Index, Traub, or other automatic screw machines (REQUIRED)
-Complete machine changeovers & setup from layout in timely fashion
-Strong ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc)
-Must be quality conscious
-Can effectively train and oversee screw machine operators
-Follow specific work, process, safety instructions and procedures
-Complete control charts, process paperwork correctly and efficiently
-Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
-Good communication skills and team mentality
-Exhibit strong work ethic and attendance record
-Maintain organized/clean work area
-Physically able to perform duties of the job; able to lift 50#
