Build Quality Architectural Wood Products


Pacific Architectural Wood Products is seeking a skilled and dependable Woodworking Machine Setter/Tender to help manufacture high-quality architectural wood products. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor woodworking equipment to ensure products meet quality standards while maintaining safe and efficient production processes. Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor woodworking machinery, including routers, sanders, planers, shapers, lathes, drill presses, and CNC equipment when required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Verify dimensions using measuring devices, gauges, templates, and visual inspections.
  • Install, adjust, and replace tooling, including blades, cutters, sanding belts, and bits.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot minor machine issues and communicate equipment concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance.
  • Package, label, and move completed products to the next stage of production.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years of woodworking, machine operation, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience operating manual and computerized woodworking equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of machine setup, tooling selection, and quality control processes.
  • Experience with CNC equipment or CAD/CAM systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
