Machine Operator

Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating machinery, maintaining high-quality production standards, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing process.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor assigned machinery and equipment according to safety and quality standards
  • Perform all checks on parts based on measurement requirements and inform senior staff of any discrepancies.
  • Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and consistency
  • Use micrometers, calipers and height gauge
  • Perform safety and quality checks
  • Deburr completed materiel components and parts
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow daily production schedules and meet output goals
  • Document production data, machine settings, and any issues encountered
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Willingness to cross train in various other departments such as our inspection, testing and painting departments
  • Read and interpret drawings and according to requirements accurately interpret and apply fit, tolerance.
  • Properly and respectfully communicate with peers, leads, managers, inspectors

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Basic experience with hand tools
  • Understand and comprehend measurements
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, instructions, or measurements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • The team member is expected to perform repetitive tasks using their hands.
