Job description

  • Selecting and knowing how to use the correct tools for various tasks
    • Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, caulk gun, spray equipment, air compressor, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding, etc.
  • Responsible for the application of varnish, polyurethane, primer, paint, caulk and other coatings
  • Mask and prepare surfaces for coatings
  • Clean and maintain equipment by removing all traces of paint
  • Repair imperfections
  • Perform exterior and interior painting of commercial buildings, drywall, steel, equipment, structures, etc. in a professional manor
  • Prepare and protect work surfaces with drop cloths and masking
  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean
  • Responsible for loading, unloading, preparing and cleaning of job site materials, and tools.
  • Provide quality work and take corrective action for conditions that may affect job quality
  • Responsible for the setup and execution of tasks on scaffolding and ladders
  • Communicate to foreman/supervisor if surface to be painted are not in proper condition to provide a quality finish
  • Use materials and resources efficiently
