Job description

ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging manufacturing company. Our Holbrook, MA facility is looking to add a Machine Operator - Converting to our team.
Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made, upon request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Safley sets up, operates, and monitors converting machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
  • Completes converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
  • Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
  • Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
  • Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
  • Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Completes all necessary documentation for internal or external use.
  • Effectively works with other departments or team members, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors, to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred
  • 2-4 years' experience in a related field experience in a related field required.
  • This position has no leadership duties.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
