Machine Operator – Utica, NY


Staffworks is hiring motivated Machine Operators to join our team in the Utica, NY area. If you enjoy hands-on work and manufacturing, we want to hear from you!

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM; Friday overtime as needed, 6:00–11:00 AM

Pay:$18.00/hour


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of machine operating/manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read work orders, drawings, and a tape measure
  • Ability to read calipers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift/pull 8'–12' lumber onto a conveyor
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety


Responsibilities:

  • Operate manufacturing and woodworking equipment
  • Fabricate cabinets, countertops, panels, wall systems, and other casework
  • Use hand tools and standard woodworking equipment
  • Read and follow production packets, drawings, and work orders
  • Perform quality checks and maintain equipment
  • Work safely and effectively as part of a team
