Small Machine Operator Responsibilities:
  • Insert molding operator.
  • Non-insert molding operator.
  • Small machine operator.
  • Load and unload parts in molding machines.
  • Separate parts.
  • De-gate parts.
  • De-flash parts.
  • Measurement verification on critical part features
  • Operate injection and transfer / compression molding machines, drill press, de-gating fixtures, exacto knife, manual clippers / pliers, impact driver.
  • Inspect parts that have been molded or machined to identify any defects.
    De-flash parts by using manual clippers or exacto knife.
  • De-gate parts by using manual clippers or exacto knife.
  • Package parts in a box, bag, etc.
  • Visual inspection of parts under a microscope.
  • Visual inspection of parts under a magnification glass.
Small Machine Operator Qualifications:
  • Positive attitude.
    Excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and willing to learn new things.
  • Ability to work productively with a team or independently.
  • Ability to perform elementary addition and subtraction for production and scrap reporting as necessary.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, pull, push up to 30 pounds.
