Tufting Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Job Location: Calhoun

Tufting Machine Operator
Shift: 3rd Shift - Sunday - Thursday Nights from 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Must be willing and able to work overtime
Mission Statement

Essential Duties
The following are the essential duties that I am expected to be able to
perform considering job knowledge, job environment, effort,
manipulative skills, judgment, safety knowledge and responsibility.
Required essential duties include but are not limited to:
  • How to start-up a machine
  • How to run a machine
  • How to measure pattern length under 40"
  • How to inspect the quality of the carpet
  • How to perform procedure for starting a new manufacturing order
  • How to doff a roll
  • How to perform housekeeping responsibilities
  • Review all other work instructions associated with job

Note: Required to do any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Education
Must be able to read, write and possess basic math
skills.
Skills
Must be a certified Mender
Experience
Must have prior mending experience
Responsibility
Responsible for meeting the requirements for safety, quality, productivity, efficiency and housekeeping.
Training
• Required to complete at least one week of training to operate a loop machine.
• One additional week of training will be required for each of the other machine types.
• Cut Pile
• Graphics (Cut Pile & Loop Pile)
• Enhanced Graphics
• All training must be under supervision of qualified associate.
Other
Overtime is / may be required.
