Job Title: Die Casting Machine Operator

Job Description

This role operates precision die-casting and molding machines in a clean manufacturing environment to produce high-quality metal components for a wide range of industries. The position requires consistent attention to machine performance, product quality, and safe material handling across all three shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate die casting and molding machines in a manufacturing environment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure the die is running properly throughout production and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions.
  • Gather first-off pieces after machine setup and deliver them to quality personnel for inspection and approval.
  • Observe and monitor assigned casting and molding machine operations to maintain consistent production output.
  • Inspect products visually for excessive flash, surface finish quality, and any other obvious or specifically noted defects.
  • Perform routine checks on machine performance and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Handle, lift, carry, and move materials frequently, with individual items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain accurate communication with team members and supervisors regarding production status, quality concerns, and equipment issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to workplace safety rules.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to support efficient and safe production operations.

Essential Skills

  • Proven machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to visually inspect parts and materials for defects and quality issues.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting with repetitive tasks and continuous machine operation.
  • Willingness to work any of the three shifts as needed by production demands.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.15/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
