Job description

Sabert is looking for Experienced Machine Operators to join our team!

Starting rate: $24.75 - $26.75 + $1 Shift Differential

Day and Night shift positions

Summary:

We have exciting opportunities for individuals who are mechanically inclined and have a willingness to learn! Machine Operators serve as an example of our high safety and quality standards, by leading a team of packers by example and ensure lines are running efficiently and product is meeting customer standards before shipping.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Be able to start up and operate extrusion and thermoforming lines.
  • Make all process adjustments necessary to make a quality product.
  • Be able to operate and adjust all supporting automation equipment, lip roller, bagger, etc.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of packers assigned to the line to ensure efficient production.
  • Monitor line set points, temperatures, and pressures to keep production running at standard rates.
  • Assist with completing tooling changeovers,as needed.
  • Complete production reporting.
  • Maintain housekeeping in work area.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Mechanical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work in fast-paced environment.
  • Good attendance records
  • Good performance evaluations
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good safety record
  • Previous operator experience or mechanical background preferred.

Physical Characteristics:

  • Standing (95% of the Day)
  • Lifting (no more than 40 lbs)
  • Heat Related (when working on extruder die)

Schedule:

  • 12 hours shift: from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 6:00 am
  • 2-2-3 work schedule
