Job description

Machine Operator - Contract to Hire
A labeling company is seeking a skilled Machine Operator in Hampton, NH, where the company is known for its commitment to quality and efficiency in production. This is a contract-to-hire position with opportunities for overtime and flexible shifts once trained.
Shift of the Machine Operator:
8am-4:30pm Monday - Thursday
Pay Rate of the Machine Operator:
$20/hour
Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:
  • Receives production order and job assignment from department manager.
  • Prepares machine set up to maintain optimum production rate, registration, and quality. Makes periodic machine adjustments as needed.
  • Assures that production specifications and quality assurance directives are effectively implemented. Responsible for quality of final output.
  • Maintains continuous inspection of job specifications and quality throughout run, collecting production run samples as required.
  • Maintains accurate count of output and packs final goods based on customer specifications.
Qualifications of the Machine Operator:
  • Ability to read, comprehend and apply written instruction.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Must be familiar with requirements of OSHA Hearing Conservation Program.
  • Able to wear hearing protection for an eight-hour period if required.
  • Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 30 lbs.
