SMT Machine Operator

Danbury, CT | Full-Time | On-Site (7:00 am โ€“ 3:30 pm)

About the Role

AB Electronics is hiring SMT Machine Operators to join our growing team in Danbury, CT. If you have experience in electronics contract manufacturing and want to be part of a company that's continually investing in its people, processes, and technology to exceed customer expectations, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Set up automated SMT machinery following documented work instructions.
  • Perform intermediate-level preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
  • Keep equipment and your work area clean and in good working order.
  • Monitor product during production and take immediate action to correct quality issues.
  • Flag any process or equipment adjustments needed to your Supervisor or Group Leader.
  • Log production transactions, quality data, and records as required.
  • Work under the direction of your Supervisor, Group Leader, or designee.

What You Bring

  • Experience working as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and follow documented work instructions accurately.
  • Ability to enter data and navigate on-screen prompts to operate computer-controlled machinery.
  • Ability to follow direction on repetitive assembly tasks with consistent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team on a production line.
