Your role and responsibilities:
In this role, the CNC Machining Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machining equipment to produce quality parts that meet production and quality standards. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring safe work practices, accurate production, proper documentation, and continuous attention to quality, safety, and housekeeping.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines by reading and following work instructions, specifications, and drawings to ensure parts meet quality and production standards.
  • Inspect and produce defect-free parts while monitoring machining processes and identifying unusual machine conditions.
  • Perform routine maintenance, tool setup, basic programming, and troubleshooting while accurately documenting machine setups, repairs, and production activity.
  • Work safely and collaboratively in a team environment, follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements, cross train on additional machines, and meet production schedules.

Qualifications for the role:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent military service
  • Vocational/technical high school or technical college coursework may be considered in lieu of industrial experience.
  • Prior CNC machining experience preferred.
  • Previous motor experience preferred.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
