Requirements

Summary of Functions:

Primary responsibilities are to safely run protein plant dryer equipment and achieve the goals of production while maintaining consistent quality. This job description is sufficient for departmental functions such as: Protein Dryer and Bagger.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Running large machinery and maintenance.
  • Packaging of protein powder in 50lb bags or large totes.
  • Troubleshooting of machinery.
  • Cleaning of floors, walls, tools, etc.
  • Chemical safety, workplace safety and cGMP training and practices.
  • CIP and sanitation of equipment.
  • Routine inspections of all working parts.
  • Move pallets using pallet jack or forklift as required.


Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.
  • Comply with GMPs in the plant.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality System.
  • Organizational Relationships:
  • Position reports to the Production Supervisor in the Protein Department.



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility in the schedule is required regarding different shifts, days, weekends and holidays.
