Description
Setup and operate Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) mills. Primarily responsible for setting up and operating equipment with some programming in Mastercam, program editing, and offsetting on a variety of parts. Responsible for meeting dimensional requirements.
Responsibilities not limited to:
  • Set up and operate Haas CNC mills; load programs, install tooling, and fixture parts
  • Perform light Mastercam programming, program editing, and offset adjustments
  • Review prints, work orders, travelers, and setup sheets
  • Modify speeds, feeds, and G-code to meet print requirements
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height/thread gages)
  • Troubleshoot machining issues; adjust tool/work offsets, feeds, and spindle speeds
  • Optimize tooling and programs for efficiency
  • Complete required inspection and work order documentation

Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience setting up and operating Haas CNC mills
  • Proficient in Mastercam programming
  • Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and G & M codes; set tooling and work offsets
  • Skilled in calculating and adjusting machining parameters (speed, feed, coolant, depth, angle)

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged standing and fine motor skills
  • Occasional bending/twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Visual acuity to identify product defects
