Role Overview

As an Machine Operator, you will be trained to set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines. This role is designed for individuals with a strong mechanical interest who are eager to start a career in manufacturing. You will work under the guidance of senior operators to ensure our products meet high-quality standards.


We currently have positions open on all 3 shifts.


Starting wage is $20+ per hour depending on experience.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Support

  • Assist in setting up extrusion machines and downstream equipment (cooling tanks, pullers, cutters) according to production requirements.
  • Learn to start up, operate, and shut down extrusion lines in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Load raw materials and additives into hoppers and monitor proper blending.
  • Monitor machine parameters like temperature and pressure, reporting any deviations to the lead operator.
  • Package finished parts according to product specifications.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform regular inspections of products for surface finish and visible defects.
  • Train on the use of calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product measurements.
  • Accurately  document production data and quality checks following company procedures.

Maintenance & Safety

  • Help maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning dies, filters, and work areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Maintain an organized workspace

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • No previous extrusion experience required; experience in general labor, construction, or a mechanical hobby is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: You enjoy working with your hands and understanding how things work.
