Job description

Are you looking for a 2nd shift opportunity where your machining skills and attention to detail are valued? Do you have prior drill press experience and enjoy working with precision tools and blueprints? If so, this position could be for you!


POSITION – Drill Press Operator

JOB LOCATION – Port Washington, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp to Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 2nd Shift

STARTING PAY – $21 to $24 per hour (Based on Experience)

BENEFITS – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma or GED

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Prior Drill Press Experience Required (Set Up Experience a Plus)

As a Drill Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and potentially setting up drill press machines to produce quality parts to specification. You will read blueprints, use measuring tools, and ensure all finished parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate drill press machines to drill, tap, and finish parts to specification
  • Perform machine set-ups (if experienced) and adjust as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Use tape measure, ruler, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize hand tools to complete secondary operations as needed
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met

Qualifications

  • Prior drill press experience is required
  • Set up experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficient with tape measure, ruler, and other measuring instruments

So, from Carol’s home, SEEK assignment employees were sent to serve the temporary needs of Ozaukee County business people. The business grew and was eventually incorporated in 1975. The Grafton office expanded from Carol’s home to several other buildings in town before finally settling in their current location on Opportunity Drive in Grafton in 1997.
