Job description

Location: Conyers, GA

Shift: 1ST Shift Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

As a Metal Fabrication Technician at MGM Products Inc., you will be responsible for operating various fabrication machines (Press Brakes, Lasers) and carrying out the daily tasks assigned by the supervisor. This operator can successfully setup and operate the machinery from beginner to intermediate setups. Works closely with supervisor and production planning on the full scope of projects moving through the department. Operator is flexible and adaptable to assignment changes and will jump in and help when needed. Ensures a safe and efficient operation of the machine and conducts quality control checks on the first part and throughout the production run. Our products are custom configured and made to order.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Sets up and operates equipment to bend parts of sheet metal according to drawings or product specifications. • Read drawing, work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as quantity, dimensions and/or tolerances. • Performs periodic checks on output; measures completed parts to verify conformance to specifications. • Use measuring instruments at 100% accuracy. • Maintain high level of productivity and produce quality parts. • Identify equipment, production and/or parts issues; troubleshoot issues with management and appropriate personnel. • Performs preventative maintenance tasks to maintain equipment performance and prevent machine downtime.
