Job description

Primary Job Function:

Operation of Press Equipment and line by using the established processes/TPM objectives while working together in a team environment, including but not limited to racking of the parts produced, quality control, housekeeping and metal rework of parts. Some areas may require forklift driving. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Perform machine operations

· Correct and troubleshoot machine faults

· Participate in improvement activities using 5s/TPM processes

· Know and adhere to safety procedures

· Follow departmental process procedures

· Initiate quality improvements and assist in concern resolution

· Maintain production efficiencies

· Maintain housekeeping requirements to ensure a safe work environment

· Inspect parts produced per process to ensure they meet our high standards

· Complete inside/outside die changeovers

· Basic Press programming

· Build, troubleshoot and adjust automation tooling

· Rack parts per specifications

· Loading/Unloading sheet metal blanks and coil

Minimum Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· One year of manufacturing experience preferred

· General knowledge of quality systems

· Able to identify sheet metal/aluminum defects

· Basic knowledge using an ERP system

Training Requirements or Equivalents:

· New hire orientation

· Program and fine adjust automation equipment (OJT)

· Build automation tooling (OJT)

· Welding (OJT)

· ERP System Training

Health, Safety and Physical Demand Requirements:

· Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.

· Occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day

· Hand and eye coordination

· Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hours or more)

· Ability to use a phone and computer keyboard

· Ability to work in manufacturing environment
