Job description

Superior Brass Casings is seeking a highly skilled Deep Draw Transfer Press Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. If you have experience operating and troubleshooting high-speed transfer presses in a deep draw metal forming environment, we want to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to work with a company committed to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and producing industry-leading brass cartridge casings.

Position: Deep Draw Transfer Press Operator

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time | Overtime Available

Location: [Fenton, Michigan]

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor deep draw transfer presses used in brass cartridge case manufacturing.
  • Perform die changes, tooling adjustments, and machine setup verification.
  • Maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality throughout production runs.
  • Troubleshoot press, tooling, and material flow issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with repairs as needed.
  • Document production data, quality checks, and machine performance.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve efficiency and output.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience operating deep draw transfer presses in a metal forming or ammunition manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of progressive and transfer press operations.
  • Experience with brass, copper, or similar non-ferrous metal forming processes preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and process specifications.
  • Knowledge of precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training is a plus.
