Position Summary

We are seeking a 2nd shift Press Brake Operator set up. The Press Brake Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the daily operations of the Press Brake department while actively setting up and operating press brake equipment. This role oversees job assignments, trains and mentors operators, ensures quality and productivity standards are met, and promotes a safe, team-oriented work environment. The Press Brake Lead must have strong knowledge of press brake setup, tooling, blueprint reading, and sheet metal fabrication processes while driving continuous improvement and supporting department performance.



Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations within the Press Brake department while supporting production goals and on-time delivery.
  • Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend and form sheet metal parts according to blueprint specifications.
  • Assign jobs, coordinate workflow, and ensure employees have the materials, tools, and information needed to complete work efficiently.
  • Train, mentor, and support Press Brake Operators on machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, and quality expectations.
  • Review and troubleshoot machine setups, tooling, bend allowances, and production issues to minimize downtime and defects.
  • Ensure all parts meet quality standards through inspections, measurements, and compliance with ISO and company procedures.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of Press Brake experience
  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
  • Bend and lift, loading and unloading workpieces into the machine, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing
