Job description

KP is looking for a Flexo Press Operator at our Riverton location. If you're seeking a meaningful role where you can make a real difference, we welcome you to jump aboard and join our dynamic team! The Flexo Press Operator is responsible for the set-up, operation and maintenance of the Flexo Press and related production equipment. The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 3pm to 2am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reads job order and loads dies into press, installs print cylinder on shaft and installs print cylinder in press.
  • Set up, adjust, maintain and operate a flexographic press.
  • Notify supervisor of needed repairs and/or replacement parts.
  • Interpret job tickets or SOP's accurately so jobs are completed according to the customer's requirements.
  • Maintains and updates maintenance records.
  • Understand all documents related to the printing process and adhere to specification requirements.
  • Understand and follow safety and quality requirements.
  • Recommends and help develop SOPs for job related functions, process improvement and ways to improve efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge):
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years' related experience understanding and working as a Flexo Press Operator.
  • Strong knowledge of basic color and print experience.

Skills and abilities:
  • Good verbal, written and listening skills; ability to read, understand and follow SOPs.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Uses self-management skills to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to use time efficiently.
  • Identifies the problem and notifies manager in a timely manner with possible solution.
  • Helps and supports all employees in their work.
  • Works effectively with others.
  • Responds positively to instructions and procedures.
